  • Contest year 2015 was not a good one for me. Travel, work commitments, and other things prevented participation.

  • I missed ARRL DX CW (2014) as I was still recovering from knee replacement surgery

  • NEQP (2014) ~ SOAB HP. First place Hillsoborough County New Hampshire. It helps to be the only entry. :-)
  • CQ WW CW (2013) ~ SOAB HP Classic. All S&P.
  • CQ WW SSB (2013) ~ SOAB HP. Under 24 hours so I still fit into the "Classic" category. Excellent conditions. All S&P.
  • CQ WPX SSB (2013) ~ SOAB HP. First contest at HP. #3 in W1 call area (406K points). [Winner had 10.8M points!]
  • CQ WW SSB (2012) ~ SO LP. #7 in W1 call area (264K points). I was only about 4 million points behind the winner N1UR.
  • CQ WPX SSB (2012) ~ SO LP. Minimal effort (2 hours). Almost 5.5 million points behind the winner N1UR.
  • CQ WW SSB (2011) ~ Storm-shortened SO LP. #9 in W1 call area (169K points). I was still only about 4 million points behind the winner N1UR. {grin}
  • CQ WW WPX SSB (2011) ~ Operated as KP2/NE1RD SOSB 10M QRP. 355 QSOs and 178 prefixes for 129,762 points. High score for the world in this category.
  • CQ WW WPX SSB (2010) ~ Operated as KP2/NE1RD SOSB 15M QRP. 778 QSOs and 382 prefixes for 639,086 points. High score for the world in this category. Also won the world for the triband-wires category for QRP and low power. This is a new North American Record for this band/power level for this contest and it leaves me in the record book as 3rd all-time!
  • ARRL DX SSB (2009) ~ 159 Qs, 103 Mults, 47,277 points [would have been 7th in US if I'd submitted properly as QRP and not Low Power! Important safety tip: always review your entry before submission!]
